  • What a fantastic day for Koku-Ryu Martial Arts students today.

    We took a small group of 6 to the Revolution Derbyshire 2016 Championships as our first competition for this year.

    So how did we do? Amazing that's what!!!

    Andrew Banks Sensei (Chief Instructor) came away with 1st Place GOLD in Musical Weapons Forms, 2nd Place SILVER in Traditional Weapons Forms and 3rd Place BRONZE in Traditional Kata.

    Jess Smith came 3rd Place BRONZE in Creative Weapons Forms and even took to the mats in points fighting for the first time since having her baby.

    Natasha Eardley absolutely SMASHED her categories with 4x 1st Place GOLD in Traditional Kata, Creative Forms, Musical Creative Forms and Weapons Forms.

    Archie Saycell came 3rd Place in Creative Weapons Forms and even did great in Sport Sword just missing out on 3rd place.

    Oliver Smith did fantastic coming 2nd Place SILVER in Weapons Forms and 3rd Place BRONZE in Freestyle Forms

    Finally Georgie Saycell did an awesome job with 2nd Place SILVER in Sport Sword, 2nd Place SILVER in Creative Weapons Forms and 3rd Place BRONZE in Traditional Kata.

    We are so proud of you all, from a small group of 6 we brought home 14 medals and trophies....

    What an amazing start to 2016 already.
